There are few gorgeous female vocalists belonging to the younger generation that managed to show and prove that this new local music scene has indeed something to offer. One of those vocalists is DJ Sonja a.k.a. Sofine2.

It seems that years of hard work invested in forming a hip-hop scene in Serbia (compilation Tilt) as well as a role of one of the back vocals in Del Arno Band have been more than an important experience for this hardworking and brilliant woman. Strong in artistic sense and hyper creative by nature, Sonja Peric, better known to public as So~fine~2, has given us towards the end of last and the beginning of this year, a mega hit Colors, which by the way peaked to number 1 on Silom Prilika TV B92 chart for several weeks, not to mention its high placement on yearly charts of all major radio stations in 2001.

Album Colors was recorded during last Winter and Spring of 2002, in Byzanthronic Studio in Belgrade under the production of Milos Pavlovic a.k.a. Byzanthronic. The release of the album is anticipated in mid May under the Ammonite Records label. The album is a blend of electronic and 'live' sound, and style-wise represents a cross of few musical styles (trip-hop, hip-hop, r’n’b, dub, psychedelic electro, drum n bass etc.) … Guest artist on the album are Vlada Novicic – bass (New Age Band), Aref Zaabi – guitar (Dog House), Darko Golic – bass (Row Hide), Havana Whisper, Nenad Jovanovic – vocal, Kiza (Robin Hood) – vocal and Milan Ristic – keyboards. The new radio single is Love at 1st Sight. This year she is ready to energetically take her musical career into her own hands, and with her divine voice brighten up our lives.
